This is commonly referred to as pre-enrollment. You are not required to pre-enroll in order to complete the application process; however, TSA encourages you to pre-enroll to facilitate the application process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By pre-enrolling, you can ensure that your personal data is entered correctly from the comfort of your home, office, or other location.<\/li>\n<li>You may be able to minimize your time at an enrollment center<\/li>\n<li>You can make an appointment time at an enrollment center, convenient to your home or traveling circumstances. Alternatively, you can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/universalenroll.dhs.gov\/contact-us\">Contact Us<\/a>\u00a0via the Universal Enrollment Services website.<\/p>\n<p>If you have legally changed your name and wish to enroll with your new legal name, you must provide a court-ordered name change document in addition to the required documentation from List A or List B. For example, if you present a U.S. birth certificate with your maiden name and a driver\u2019s license with your married name, you must also provide a marriage certificate that shows the link between the names on the birth certificate and the driver\u2019s license. You must provide a valid photo ID that matches your full legal name.<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-xs-6 logo-tsa\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"col-xs-6 logo-ues\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/universalenroll.dhs.gov\/images\/logo_ues.png\" alt=\"Universal Enrollment Services\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"main-collapsing-navbar\" class=\"collapse navbar-toggleable-xs\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"what-is-tsa-pre-check\" class=\"ues-blue-label faq-question\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>TSA PreCheck\u00ae?<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>TSA PreCheck\u00ae allows low-risk travelers to experience quick, efficient screening at participating U.S. airport checkpoints.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals may become eligible for TSA PreCheck\u00ae as members of existing Trusted Traveler programs, including the TSA PreCheck\u00ae application program, Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, as well as individuals who have a Known Traveler Number and have been deemed eligible via other TSA initiatives. If you are not sure which Trusted Traveler program is right for you, use the Department of Homeland Security\u2019s interactive\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/trusted-traveler-programs#panel-cards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trusted Traveler tool<\/a>\u00a0to compare the various programs.<\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants must visit an enrollment center servicing the TSA PreCheck\u00ae application program to provide the required biographic information and valid identity\/citizenship documentation. The enrollment process also requires the applicant to provide fingerprints, photo, and pay the enrollment fee. Applicants have the option to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/universalenroll.dhs.gov\/permalinks\/precheck-pre-enroll\">pre-enroll online<\/a>\u00a0to provide initial biographic information and make an appointment before visiting an enrollment center.<\/p>\n<p>It is recommended that you schedule an appointment. Through the EYO program, stakeholders (such as local governments and private companies) have the ability to acquire UES enrollment and activation equipment for the purpose of enrolling their populations.<\/p>\n<p>EYOs differ from the fixed UES enrollment centers in several ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The EYO stakeholder operates a private enrollment center meaning in which only applicants authorized by the EYO stakeholder can enroll at that location.<\/li>\n<li>The EYO stakeholder purchases the UES workstation and other equipment necessary to conduct enrollments and activations, as well as a maintenance contract for the workstation.<\/li>\n<li>The EYO Stakeholder provides a \u201ctrusted agent\u201d (TA) who will perform enrollment services using the workstation. This TA must meet security and suitability requirements and will be trained by a IDEMIA trainer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">EYO services include:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaboration with stakeholders to present a subcontract agreement and cost model for review and approval<\/li>\n<li>Site inspections to verify UES compliance<\/li>\n<li>Coordination of Trusted Agent IDEMIA background investigation process and TSA personal suitability determination process<\/li>\n<li>Training for Trusted Agents<\/li>\n<li>Delivery of UES workstation(s), GSA approved safe and signage<\/li>\n<li>Installation of UES workstation(s) and all hardware related to workstation setup<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing Maintenance Contract and regional manager support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Check Status\u00a0at the Universal Enrollment Services (UES) website https:\/\/universalenroll.dhs.gov\/permalinks\/service-status or by contacting the UES Call Center at 855-DHS-UES1 (855-347-8371) Monday through Friday from 8 AM-10 PM (Eastern).
