The Oregon Health Plan is a Medicaid expansion program authorized by the Oregon Legislature and approved under Federal waivers of Medicaid rules.<\/p>\n<div class=\"heading_benefitInfo__2WjQf\">\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"heading_infoTitle__1R3iE\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Who is eligible for Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid\/SCHIP)?<\/span><\/h2>\n<hr class=\"heading_divider__2Bnav\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"heading_normalText__17FKY heading_benefitInfoDesc__2moCV\">\n<p>To be eligible for Oregon Medicaid, you must be a resident of the state of Oregon, a U.S. national, citizen, permanent resident, or legal alien, in need of health care\/insurance assistance, whose financial situation would be characterized as low income or very low income. You must also be one of the following:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pregnant, or<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for a child 17 years of age or younger, or<\/li>\n<li>Have a disability or a family member in your household with a disability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"FIPG\">\n<div class=\"FIPG_footer__3H-i9\">*For households with more than eight people, add $6,038 per additional person. Applications are available from local DHS branches (we&#8217;re listed under &#8220;Human Resources, Department of&#8221; in the State Government pages of most local phone books).
