Assurance To those who are eligible, Wireless Lifeline service is provided at no cost. If you need more talk time, data, or make or receive calls or texts internationally, you can pay a premium. Read the “Services to Your Account” section if you want to know more.<\/p>\n

Assurance Wireless is a federal Lifeline Assistance program. Lifeline is a government assistance program.\u00a0The Assurance Wireless offer provides eligible low-income customers free monthly data, unlimited texting, and free monthly minutes. Plus a free phone.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/span><\/h3>\n

Enrollment is available to individuals who qualify based on federal or state-specific eligibility criteria. You may qualify if you are on certain public assistance programs, like Medicaid or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).<\/p>\n

You can also qualify based on your household income. If you are unemployed, you can use your Unemployment Benefit Letter as proof of eligibility until 3\/31\/22.<\/p>\n

How do I qualify for Assurance Wireless Lifeline service?<\/span><\/h2>\n

        To install a new SIM Card to switch to the T-Mobile network you will need to<\/p>\n

        1. Update your operating system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        2.Activate the SIM card<\/strong><\/p>\n

        3. Insert the SIM Card into your phone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        If you called Customer Care to order your SIM Card, dial 611 from your Assurance Wireless phone or call 1-888-321-5880 from any phone so they may activate your new SIM Card for you.<\/p>\n

        If you ordered your SIM Card through My Account:<\/p>\n

        Sign into\u00a0My Account\u00a0and follow the login instructions. We recommend using a computer, if possible, rather than your phone.<\/p>\n

        Tap\u00a0Activate SIM Card<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Locate your 20-digit ICC ID number below the barcode on the back of the card that contained your SIM Card.<\/p>\n

        Enter your ICC ID two times and tap Next.<\/p>\n

        You may be asked to review your service plan. If the information is correct, tap Next.<\/p>\n

        When you receive a success message, your SIM card has been activated. If you are activating your SIM Card using your phone, you may not see the success message.<\/p>\n

        Insert Your SIM Card into your phone.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

        Before you begin, please make sure your phone is fully charged, you have a second phone nearby in case you need to call us for help, and you have your new SIM Card handy.<\/p>\n

        1. Turn off your phone.<\/p>\n

        2. Remove your phone\u2019s back cover.<\/p>\n

        3. Find the SIM Card slot<\/p>\n

        4. Carefully remove the old SIM Card using your fingernail or a paperclip<\/p>\n

        5. SIM Cards come in three sizes. Use your old SIM Card as a guide and punch out a new SIM Card that is the exact same size.<\/p>\n

        6. Gently slide the new SIM Card into the slot with the metallic side down. Make sure the angled corner of the SIM Card is inserted so it is in the same position as your old SIM card when it was in your phone.<\/p>\n

        7. Replace the phone\u2019s back cover.<\/p>\n

        8. Power up your phone and start talking, texting, and going online.<\/p>\n
