First lawsuits against Travis Scott, Astroworld organisers post-deadly fest<\/span><\/h2>\n

The first lawsuits against Travis Scott and the organisers of Astroworld were filed over the weekend following a crowd surge that resulted in the deaths of eight people and the injuring of dozens more.<\/p>\n

“In the wake of Friday night’s horrific events, we are very saddened. As a performer, Travis Scott has a history of instigating violence and putting concertgoers in danger “Kherkher Garcia LLP attorneys issued a statement.<\/p>\n

Manuel Souza, who was trampled by a “uncontrolled throng” at a concert, is suing a Houston personal injury law firm for his “severe bodily injuries.”<\/p>\n

According to the suit, so many individuals were injured and so few emergency personnel were provided by defendants that concertgoers had to do CPR on their fellow concertgoers. “Yet defendants took the purposeful decision to allow the show to go on, despite the rising risk of harm to concertgoers.”<\/p>\n

Two of the eight people killed were under the age of 18. As of Friday afternoon, 25 individuals had been transferred to surrounding hospitals, and a field hospital on-site treated more than 300 people.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n

In his case, Souza claimed the following: “At his concerts, Scott aggressively encourages his fans to ‘rage’. At multiple previous concerts, he has expressed his support for violence, which has resulted in serious violence.”<\/p>\n
