What happened to NBC Sports Network<\/span><\/h2>\n

Here is the short version, because the back story explains the confusion. The channel started life in 1995 as the Outdoor Life Network, became Versus in 2006, then turned into NBC Sports Network in 2012 after Comcast took over NBCUniversal. For years it was the cable home of the NHL, the Premier League, NASCAR and cycling.<\/p>\n

Then NBCUniversal pulled the plug. NBCSN shut down on December 31, 2021, and its sports moved over to USA Network and the Peacock streaming service.
