{"id":103,"date":"2021-05-26T20:35:10","date_gmt":"2021-05-26T20:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/btech.org\/?p=103"},"modified":"2024-01-03T13:19:32","modified_gmt":"2024-01-03T07:49:32","slug":"jee-advanced-2021-exams-postponed-due-to-covid-surge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seminarsonly.com\/news\/jee-advanced-2021-exams-postponed-due-to-covid-surge\/","title":{"rendered":"JEE Advanced 2021 Exams Postponed Due To Covid Surge"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"subHeading\">JEE Advanced 2021 Postponed: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has postponed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 in view of the worsening COVID-19 situation across the country.<\/h2>\n<p>It made an announcement regarding the postponement of the JEE Exam (Advanced) exam due to the prevailing second wave of Covid-19 pandemic in the country. The exam was scheduled for 3 July.<\/p>\n<p>For admissions to IITs, apart from qualifying the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Advanced, the candidates are required to secure either minimum 75 per cent marks in class 12 board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations.<\/p>\n<p>Top 2.5 lakh candidates who clear the JEE Main examination are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced.<\/p>\n<p>JEE Advanced comprise two papers- Paper I and Paper II. While Paper I was scheduled to be held in the morning shift&#8211;9 am to 12 noon, Paper-II was scheduled in the afternoon shift&#8211; 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">JEE Advanced is a gateway to the Bachelor\u2019s, Integrated Master\u2019s, and Dual Degree courses in 23 IITs of the country.
