The &#8220;Version Rule&#8221; (Most Common Fix)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">Minecraft requires different Java versions depending on which update you are playing. The &#8220;Clean Slate&#8221; (Corrupted Assets)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11\">Sometimes the game files downloaded partially or got corrupted. Forcing a re-download usually fixes this.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"12\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,0,0\">Open SKLauncher.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,0\">Right-click the profile that isn&#8217;t working.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,2,0\">Select <b data-path-to-node=\"12,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"7\">Open Folder<\/b> (this opens your <code data-path-to-node=\"12,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"36\">.minecraft<\/code> folder).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,3,0\">Delete the folder named <b data-path-to-node=\"12,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"24\"><code data-path-to-node=\"12,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"24\">bin<\/code><\/b> or <b data-path-to-node=\"12,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"31\"><code data-path-to-node=\"12,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"31\">natives<\/code><\/b> inside that specific version folder (usually found under <code data-path-to-node=\"12,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"96\">.minecraft\/versions\/[your version]<\/code>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,4,0\">Go back to the launcher and click <b data-path-to-node=\"12,4,0\" data-index-in-node=\"34\">Play<\/b>. It will re-download the missing clean files.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"13\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">4. Check the Console (Find the Real Error)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\">If the above didn&#8217;t work, you need to see <i data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"42\">why<\/i> it&#8217;s crashing.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"15\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\">Go to SKLauncher <b data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"17\">Settings<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\">Enable <b data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"7\">&#8220;Show Console&#8221;<\/b> (or &#8220;Open Output Log when game starts&#8221;).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\">Click <b data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"6\">Play<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,3,0\">Watch the text scrolling by. When it stops\/crashes, scroll to the bottom and look for a line that says <code data-path-to-node=\"15,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"103\">Caused by:<\/code> followed by an error.<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,0,0\"><i data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Common Error:<\/i> <code data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"14\">java.lang.OutOfMemoryError<\/code> -&gt; <b data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"44\">Fix:<\/b> See Step 2.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,1,0\"><i data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Common Error:<\/i> <code data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"14\">Class has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime<\/code> -&gt; <b data-path-to-node=\"15,3,1,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"86\">Fix:<\/b> See Step 1 (You need newer Java).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"16\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">5. Mods Check (If using mods)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"17\">If you are trying to launch a Modpack (Fabric\/Forge):<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"18\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Remove Optifine:<\/b> It causes many crashes on newer versions. Use <b data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"63\">Sodium<\/b> (Fabric) or <b data-path-to-node=\"18,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"82\">Embeddium<\/b> (Forge) instead.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Delete <code data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"7\">options.txt<\/code>:<\/b> Go to the folder for that version and delete <code data-path-to-node=\"18,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"65\">options.txt<\/code>.
