Mewtwo is unique because it has two<\/i> Mega Evolutions, effectively allowing you to choose between “Brain” (Y) or “Brawn” (X).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Mega Mewtwo Y<\/b> is generally considered the superior choice in competitive play because it plays to Mewtwo’s natural strengths (Speed + Special Attack). It is faster and hits harder instantly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Mega Mewtwo X<\/b> is a “niche” surprise. Since most opponents expect Mewtwo to use Special attacks, Mega X can catch them off guard by hitting them with a massive Physical Fighting move.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2. How to Get Them (New – Dec 2025)<\/span><\/h2>\n

    As of the December 2, 2025 update<\/b>, these forms are now available in the game (which launched in October).<\/p>\n
