In the next two months, WhatsApp, according to reports, would cease to function on a number of handsets. If this is the case, WhatsApp will discontinue supporting older handsets on November 1 and users will no longer be able to view their conversations, photographs, or videos.
According to WhatsApp’s release, the app will no longer support devices running older versions of Android or iOS. Only those with smartphones running Android 4.1 or higher, or iOS 10 or higher, will have access to WhatsApp.
To continue using WhatsApp, you’ll need to acquire a new smartphone if yours was manufactured before 2011. The deadline for getting things done is November 1.
