Wondering why content blackouts happen?

DIRECTV pays fees to TV channel owners for permission to add their channels to your lineup. As contracts expire, owners sometimes turn off their channels as a bargaining tactic.

Check if you qualify for blackout credits

  2. Select your TV service from the drop-down.
  3. Enter your Zip Code.
  4. Click the Search button.
Note: If there is no content blackout in your area, you will not qualify for a blackout credit.
