SSA Payment Schedule 2023 : Schedule of Social Security Benefit Payments 2023
Social Security is a federal programme that provides financial support to the elderly, the disabled, and their dependents after their recipients reach retirement age or become disabled. Millions of Americans receive their income each month through social security, but it can be difficult to track out the exact day that your payment will be deposited into your bank account if you don’t have access to online resources.
A significant portion of the population, around 16%, waits each month for these dates to arrive. If you are receiving social security benefits in 2023 as a retiree, disabled person, or beneficiary of a deceased spouse or parent, you will want to know when you will receive those benefits. This is especially true given that payments have increased by 5.9% to reflect the highest increase in living costs in 40 years.
Payments from Social Security may be delayed or advanced based on a number of criteria, including the recipient’s birthday. We have compiled all the data you’ll need to determine the exact date of your 2023 SSI payment.
SSA Payment Schedule 2023 :
The dates to be aware of
The day you get your Social Security check is determined on the date of your birth. Since SSI payments are routinely made on Wednesdays, you can use this calendar to anticipate when you’ll receive your monthly social security check.
- If your birthday is on the 1st-10th of the month, you’ll be paid on the second Wednesday of each month.
- If your birthday is on the 11th-20th of the month, you’ll be paid on the third Wednesday of each month.
- If your birthday is on the 21st-31st of the month, you’ll be paid on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
When does a direct deposit from Social Security take place?
Your social security check will typically come the night before your payment is due. If your deposit is due on March 6th, you should have it in your account when you check on March 5th at midnight.
But there can be holdups in the process, as is the case with any wire transfer or money transferring. For this reason, you should let Social Security at least 24 hours before calling them about a late payment.
