Before attempting to activate your receiver, please leave it powered on and connected to the cable outlet for 15 minutes.
After you’ve connected your receiver to your TV, you’ll need to activate it to complete the installation. If you’re using more than one receiver, please connect each one to a TV before activating. All of your receivers will be activated at the same time.

Sign in to your Spectrum Mobile account in order to activate your Spectrum Mobile service. Signing in to Spectrum.net and SpectrumMobile.com will require the same login and password. If you haven’t already, learn how to create a username and password for Spectrum.
Depending on whether you are transferring your phone number or obtaining a new number, the time required to complete activation may vary.
Visit SpectrumMobile.com/activate at any moment to check the status of your activation. You will receive a confirmation email after your service has been activated successfully.

Activation Instructions
Follow the instructions below to activate your Spectrum Mobile device. You’ll need to repeat the steps below for each Spectrum Mobile device that you wish to activate.
To activate your device:
- Keep your device off.
- Insert the Spectrum Mobile SIM card using the SIM ejector tool. Note: Some Spectrum Mobile Android phones are shipped with SIM cards already inserted.
- Visit SpectrumMobile.com/activate and sign in to your account using your Spectrum username and password.
- Locate the device that you want to activate on your Activation Dashboard.
- Select Get a New Phone Number or Keep My Phone Number.
Note: If you’re transferring your phone number, enter your account details from your previous carrier. Learn more about transferring your phone number. - Select Start Activation and then follow the steps to activate your new device.
- When you see Activation Complete, your device is ready for setup. You’ll receive a confirmation email when your device has been successfully activated.
- Turn on your device and connect to WiFi.
- Follow the prompts to setup your new device and begin using.
Note: Please have your Apple ID (iPhone users) or Gmail information (Android users) available to ensure proper activation.
How do I get free spectrum Internet?
1. Enable the WiFi feature on your mobile device.
2. Select “Spectrum Free Trial” from the list of available networks.
3. Open a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari) to access the internet, then select “Guest” on the Sign In screen, then select “Next” under “Free Trial” and follow the prompts.
Spectrum Mobile customers and customers with the Spectrum WiFi profile installed will automatically connect to the best network available. If you are not a Spectrum Mobile customer or haven’t downloaded and installed the Spectrum WiFi profile to your phone or tablet, you should select the “Spectrum Free Trial” network.
