How to Set Up Your Sling TV Stream on Samsung
Compatible Samsung Smart TV models will come with Sling TV pre-loaded in the My Apps screen once your Smart TV is connected to the Internet. You can find this screen by pressing the Home button on your remote, then selecting Apps, and finally, My Apps. Follow the instructions below to download and install the Sling TV app:
- From the Apps screen, select the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to search for Sling TV.
- Once the app is located, select Install to download the app on your Smart TV.
- Allow the download and installation process to complete.
Once the download is complete, select Open to launch the Sling TV app!

Activate Sling TV
If you’re just looking for the link to authenticate Sling TV on your device, visit sling.com/activate in your browser on mobile or desktop.
To activate the Sling TV app on your device, start by launching the app. From the landing page, if you already have a Sling TV subscription, select Sign In. Otherwise, select the option to start a Sling subscription.
You’ll see a screen with a five-digit code. From your smartphone, tablet or computer, visit sling.com/activate or click here (page will open in a new window).
Enter your code in the on-screen text box, then select Continue.
For the next step, choose whether you’re signing up for Sling TV, or signing in on your device.
Signing Up
The next screen you’ll see will ask you to choose what type of entertainment you’re looking for. Select the drop-down menu to choose from US programming, Latino programming, or International programming in a number of languages. Once you’ve made your pick, select Continue.
- Enter your email address and create a unique password
- Select your programming
- Enter your billing information
Once you’ve finished creating your account, you’ll be taken to the My TV screen on your device.
Signing In
The next screen you’ll see will ask you to sign in to your account.
Once you’ve signed in, you’ll be taken to the My TV screen on your device.
Welcome back!
Don’t worry, you won’t need to authenticate each time you want to watch SLING TV on your device. You’ll only need to authenticate after you’ve been signed out of the app.
How long is my code active for?
Your activation code should remain active for 10-15 minutes. If your code has expired, you’ll receive an error message. Back out to the landing page and select the option to sign up or sign in again to receive a new code.
How long until my device activates?
Once you’ve finished signing up or signing in on your computer or mobile device, the SLING app should activate on your device within 5-10 seconds, however, it may take longer.
