Shocking extraordinary six sixes from WBBL star Ishy Wong in a blistering innings
Sydney Thunder batter Issy Wong put on a powerhouse performance in the WBBL, slamming six sixes in a blistering inning.
In the 14th over of the Thunder’s innings, they were 3-90 behind the required run rate after the Strikers had posted a strong total of 176.

After showing glimpses of brilliance in The Hundred T20 tournament earlier this year, Wong was promoted to No. 5 in order to help the Strikers reach their target.
When the English import slammed 43 runs off 17 balls at a ridiculously high strike rate of 252.94, it was clear that the decision had been sound.
Wong got the game started right away, hammering Dane van Niekerk for three straight sixes in a masterful display of clean hitting.

Two more sixes came off Australian fast bowler Megan Schutt, and one off leg spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington’s loose full toss.
As a result of playing to her strengths, Wong smashed all six of her sixes over the rope in deep mid wicket.
In the seventh edition of the WBBL, she became the first player to hit three sixes in a row off consecutive balls.
Wong’s six-hitting prowess stunned the audience.

This is extraordinary, said commentator Adam Peacock.
Sarah Coyte dropped a sitter of a catch at mid-on, saving Wong’s life.
In the 19th over, Wellington caught her in a quandary and bowled her for 43, bringing an end to her explosive innings.
Having Wong out made an unlikely chase impossible for the Thunder, who ended up missing the target by 18 runs in their 20 overs.
