Sherman High School Boone County WV : Flash flooding causes localised precipitation
Over a very short amount of time, the broader Danville-Madison area received 1,5-inch of rain from its banks.
According to emergency management officials from Boone County, some of the highest flooding was observed at Lick Creek with numerous private bridges washed away. Initially there was no word about how many homes had taken water.

Meteorologists are still calling for statewide showers and storms by Friday. The weeks are currently predicted to be partly warmer and sunny.
