Secondstep.org Activation Key : How do I Activate my Second Step Classroom Kit?

To activate your Second Step Classroom Kit, follow these steps:

  1. Locate your Activation Key: Your 12-digit activation key (ex. ABCD1234EF67) can usually be found on the first page of your Second Step binder or notebook.

  2. Log in to SecondStep.org: If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one.

  3. Go to My Programs: After logging in, navigate to the My Programs page.

  4. Click on Kit Activation: You’ll find a Kit Activation link in the upper-right corner of the My Programs page.

  5. Enter your Activation Key: Type your 12-digit activation key into the field provided (without any spaces) and click the Activate button.

Once activated, you should see your new kit listed on the My Programs page, giving you access to all the online resources and support materials associated with your kit.

Please note: If you are using the Second Step Elementary Digital or Second Step Middle School Digital Programs, you do not need an activation key. You will be added to these programs by your school’s license administrator.

How do I add kits to my existing account?

The Second Step Elementary Digital and the Second Step Middle School Digital Programs do not require activation keys. You will be added to these programs by your school’s license administrator. Middle School and Elementary Digital Program users can disregard the Kit Activation link on their My Programs page.

To add support content for your Second Step kit, locate its activation key (which is usually on page one of your teaching materials notebook) and then:

1. Log in to your SecondStep.org account.

2. Go to the My Programs page (click the S icon in the upper-right corner to get back to your dashboard at any time).

3. On your My Programs page, there will be a Kit Activation link in the upper-right corner of the page. Click Kit Activation to enter your activation key

4. When the panel opens, type your new activation key into the field (without spaces) in the field that appears and click the Activate button when it turns blue. The page will refresh, and you should see the new kit or online product listed on the My Programs page

5. Enter as many activation keys as you need to until you’ve registered all your products.
