You’ve received a Fee to Pay card from Royal Mail. This means an item addressed to you has arrived with insufficient postage paid.
Here’s what you need to know:
Why you received it:
- Insufficient postage: The sender didn’t put enough stamps on the item.
- No postage paid: The sender may have forgotten to attach a stamp altogether.
- Counterfeit stamp: The stamp used might be fake.
- Non-barcoded stamp: Older stamps without barcodes are no longer valid and require extra postage.
What to do:
You have a few options to pay the fee and receive your item:
- Pay online: This is the quickest and easiest way. Go to [invalid URL removed] and enter the barcode number from your card. You’ll need a debit or credit card.
- Pay by phone: Call Royal Mail and pay over the phone using your debit or credit card.
- Pay at a Royal Mail delivery office: Take the card to your local delivery office and pay in cash or by card.
- Return to sender: If you don’t want to pay the fee, you can write “Return to Sender” on the card and put it back in your mailbox.
Important Note:
- Scams: Be aware of scams that mimic Fee to Pay cards. Genuine cards will always have a barcode and clear instructions on how to pay through official Royal Mail channels. Never give out personal information or bank details in response to a suspicious card or email. If in doubt, contact Royal Mail directly to verify.
