How do I activate my debit card and select my PIN?
To activate your debit card and select or change a debit card Personal Identification Number (PIN):
- Online: Access the Manage Cards option in Online Banking or the RBFCU Mobile app
- Phone: Call the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system at 1-866-307-4655
- In-Person: Visit any RBFCU TerminalTo change your PIN at an RBFCU terminal, you must know the existing PIN.
Cards not Activated within 6 Months
Members must activate their debit cards within six months of the issue date. For cards not activated within the six-month time frame, use the phone IVR to select a PIN and activate the card. After the card is activated, it can be:
- Seen online under Manage Cards
- Used with or without a PIN
How do I change my PIN on my Freedom debit card?
To complete PIN selection or changes, you can:
- Online: Access the Manage Cards option in Online Banking or the RBFCU Mobile app
- Phone: Call the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system 866-307-4655
- In-Person: Visit any RBFCU ATMTo change your PIN at the ATM, you must know the existing PIN.
Do our Mastercard chip cards for credit or debit require a PIN?
Yes. Some chip-enabled terminals require a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to complete a transaction. PINs are received based on the type of card:
Credit cards: To customize a PIN, you can:
- Online: Access your account via Online Banking or the RBFCU Mobile app
- Phone: Call the IVR number at 1-866-297-3413
- In-Person: Visit an RBFCU ATMYou must know your current PIN.
Debit cards: We no longer mail PINs. After the card arrives, you must set the PIN through Online Banking or the interactive voice response (IVR).
