In just a few easy steps you can activate your credit card and register for Internet Banking.

Please complete the details below and click ‘Activate’.

1. Enter your Card Number. This is the 13 to 16-digit number on the front of your credit card.

2. Now Enter your Date of birth.

3. Lastly enter the Expiry Date on the Card

4. Click on Activate Button and the Card will be activated

In Branch

You can activate your new credit card in your nearest MBNA Bank branch.

The branch staff are available to help you setup your new MBNA Bank credit card.

They can also discuss any other queries you may have about your new credit card, including any services that you may benefit from.

Mobile Banking app

You can now activate your MBNA Bank credit card using our Mobile Banking app.

Just look for the prompt within the notification centre on the homepage to activate your credit card.

Getting started – find out everything you need to know about activating your MBNA Bank credit card.

To complete the activation procedure, we require specific information from you, including credit card information. If you have Internet Banking, you will also need your Internet Banking login information.

Depending on which credit cards you wish to set up, activating will enable you to use online features, including:

  • setting up balance transfers
  • viewing online statements – Paper-free is a way that you can receive electronic statements and/or correspondence for eligible credit cards
  • setting up a Direct Debit – with a direct debit you have control over how much you choose to pay each month

If you’re not already registered for Internet Banking, you can still activate your new credit card securely online

Once you’ve activated your credit card you will also be given the option to create an Internet Banking account.

How do I register for Internet Banking?

It’s easy to register and takes about 5 minutes to complete.

  • Enter your personal details
    Name, date of birth, postcode and account details for one of your Lloyds Bank accounts.
  • Choose a username and password
    You will need access to a phone and we may need to send you an activation code in the post.
  • Log on to Internet Banking
    Log on using the username and password you’ve chosen.

Contactless Payment

Contactless is an easy and secure way to make payments, usually without entering your PIN.

Using a card – make payments of up to £100.

Using a mobile device – most retailers set their own limits, so check with them before you pay.

Contactless is offered by a growing number of retailers and service providers around the world.

Please note: not all contactless transactions appear immediately on your online and mobile account. If you can’t see a transaction, please wait up to 4 days for it to be added before contacting us.
