There are a few ways to activate your new Kohl’s Capital One card:

1. Pre-activate by phone: You can pre-activate your card as soon as you receive it by calling 844-207-1799. This will ensure it’s ready to use on September 16th.

2. Activate online or in the app: Starting September 16th, you can activate your card online at Kohls.capitalone.com or through the Capital One mobile app.

3. Activate by phone on or after September 16th: If you prefer, you can also activate your card by calling 844-207-1799 on or after September 16th.

Important Notes:

• Keep your old card active until September 16th: You can continue using your current Kohl’s card until September 16th.

• Online account management will be unavailable September 13th-15th: If you need to make a payment during this time, you’ll need to do so by mail.

• Destroy your old card after activating the new one: Once your new card is activated, make sure to destroy your old card for security purposes.

Activate Your New Kohl’s Card

1. Click the Menu icon.

2. Click “Manage card” then “Activate card”.

3. On the sidebar, confirm the card that will be replaced (usually the most recent card issued to you) and your address. (You can change your address in your profile.)

4. Click “Replace card”.

5. Once activated, you’ll see a notification.

After I activate my card, can I use it to shop today?

After activating your card, you are ready to shop at any Kohl’s location, or online at www.kohls.com.


Can I activate other cards on my Kohl’s Card account?

As the primary owner or authorized user, you can activate all cards on the account. Only a primary owner or authorized user can activate their cards online


Can I still use my old card after I activate my new Kohl’s Card?

Upon activating your new card, your old card is not deactivated. Please call to request that your card is deactivated. Additionally, make sure to cut up and discard your old card.
