This scheme has been named Indira Gandhi Smart Phone Scheme. In the first phase, about 40 lakh female heads of Chiranjeevi families will be given the benefit of the scheme through DBT in one lump sum. Under this scheme, with the help of smartphones given to the beneficiaries, they will be able to get information about the safety of girl students studying in remote areas as well as the benefits of various schemes being run by the government for the deprived and weaker sections. Apart from this, information about various schemes and employment schemes for the welfare of girl students and widowed single women will be available by the state government.

This scheme is a unique initiative to empower girl students, widows/single women. Through this scheme, the mothers, sisters and daughters of the state will be made digitally literate so that they can take advantage of other schemes of the government and can do all their banking work themselves.
Under the scheme, smart phones with SIM, data connectivity will be made available to the beneficiaries in district and block level camps through TSP (Telecom Service Providers Jio, Airtel, Vodafone and BSNL) authorized by TRAI in Rajasthan state.
Under Indira Gandhi Smart Phone Scheme, 01 crore 35 lakh women of Chiranjeevi families of the state are being given smart phones with free internet connectivity for three years by the Rajasthan Government.
In the first phase of the scheme, 40 lakh women are choosing the smart phone of their choice!
In the second phase, the remaining 95 lakh women will be able to get smart phones by going to their nearest inflation relief camp and registering for the Indira Gandhi Smart Phone Scheme.
