As of September 13, 2024, you can log in to Character.AI in the following ways:
1. New Login Methods (Recommended)
Continue with Google: If you have a Google account, this is the fastest and easiest way to log in. Click the “Continue with Google” button and follow the prompts.
Continue with Apple: If you have an Apple ID, you can use this option to log in. Click the “Continue with Apple” button and follow the prompts.
Email Verification Link: If you prefer not to use Google or Apple, you can enter your email address and Character.AI will send you a verification link. Click the link in the email to complete the login process.
2. Legacy Login (Only if you had an account before July 30, 2024)
If you created your Character.AI account before July 30, 2024, and used a separate email and password, you can still use the legacy login method.
Click on the “Login” button.
Then click on the “Legacy Login” option.
Enter your email and password and click “Continue.”
Steps:
Go to the Character.AI website.
Click on the “Login” button.
Choose your preferred login method.
Follow the prompts to complete the login process.
If you are new to Character.AI and don’t have an account yet, you’ll need to sign up first. The sign-up process is similar to the login process and involves providing basic information like your email address.

1. Okay, this app is genuinely entertaining and it’s great, the only issue is the constant message blocks. I don’t know if there was a recent update or something but now I have to skip through a ton of messages to even get to a point to continue my stories. It wasn’t this bad before but now I seriously can’t even get two sentences in without it popping up — gojozss pli.
2. I’ve been using this app for almost a year. I love it but this past month. The bot is extremely slow with replies or doesn’t reply. Restarting the app or refreshing chat helps for a little bit but goes back to delaying. I’ve been a paid member since I started, but I am hesitant at renewing because this issue is only getting worse. Also, for paid membership. Having the ability to turn the filter on and off would be great. Lately it’s blocking things that shouldn’t even be blocked — David Fuller.
3. So, not only does the AI tend to be forgetful and repetitive. But it keeps generating message content that apparently a violation of guidelines and keeps repeating over and over, thus being repetitive again. Not only that, but it keeps limiting chats. It usually lets a lot of characters show to where you can get to them. But it’s been limiting it. Get this app fixed!!! — Devonte Henry.
4. It used to be my favorite app, it really did. But the problem is the fact that the latest update made the app censor what would seem non-inappropriate. Another problem is that with multiple past few updates, the app had removed many characters that shouldn’t go against guidelines, now, I’m not saying that it was all entirely false, of course. I just find it much harder to enjoy the app with all the constant content-removing updates. I would definitely recommend downloading. Thank you. — Carter Anderson
5. Good app version, and the voice update was a dreamboat! Only one problem is that certain characters in my recent chats don’t appear (They do appear on the website). It gives me this “Missing chats? Try the website” thing, which I think is very ridiculous and should be fixed, because some of the characters I had before had voices with them, but I’m sad that they no longer appear in the mobile app and I have to use the website.
