The readiness of a foreign passport can be checked on the website https://guvm.mvd.rf/services/passport, or by contacting the Federal Migration Service in person.
You can check the readiness of your foreign passport by the series and number of your general passport on the website of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation or by personally contacting the Federal Migration Service. Enter the appropriate data and you will find out the status of your foreign passport.
The approximate processing time for documents for a Finnish visa is 16 working days. Please note that during the tourist season there may be delays in processing documents.
Why do you need to fill out an application for a new international passport?
An application for a foreign passport is a mandatory document to submit to the Federal Migration Service when applying for a passport identifying a citizen of the Russian Federation outside our country.

In accordance with clause 6 of Article 15 of Federal Law No. 114 “On the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation and entering the Russian Federation,” providing knowingly false information about yourself when applying for a foreign passport leads to a refusal to issue it. Therefore, it is very important to fill out the application for a foreign passport correctly.
