How to refund and return items and outfits in Fortnite

We know that sometimes you might buy something on a whim and then regret it a few days later. This is why every account is given (3) three refund tokens!

You can use your three tokens to return items purchased from the Fortnite Item Shop. Using one will remove the item you select and return the V-Bucks to you.

To refund or return an item or outfit, do the following:

1. Open the Main Menu.
2. Click the Settings gear icon.
3. Click the silhouette icon to open the Account And Privacy settings page.
4. Click Submit a Request. This will bring up a list of all of the items you purchased in-game within the past 30 days.
5. Find and select the item you want to return and select it in the list.
6. Next, select the reason you want to return the item.
   This will bring you to a summary screen where you can submit your request.
7. Click Submit Return Request.
   A final confirmation screen will pop up warning you that you only have three lifetime return requests.
8. If you are sure that you want to proceed, click Yes.
   You will then see the Return Request Approved screen, which will tell you how many V-Bucks have been credited to your account.
   Note: This action cannot be undone once you click Yes
9. Click OK to return to the Account And Privacy settings page.

And that’s it—your purchase will be removed and the V-Bucks will be returned to your account.  Please be aware that you can only return a total of three items using this method. Consumable items are not eligible for returns. See the list below for what items can be returned!

• Contrails
• Loading Screens
• Emotes

What items are not returnable?

• V-Bucks
• Battle Pass
• Battle Pass Tiers
• Starter Pack
• Loot Llamas (Save the World)
• Event and Weekly Items (Save the World)
• Gifts
• Fortnite Crew Subscriptions

Can I have more Return tickets?

With the launch of patch 18.2, players will be granted a new refund ticket once every 365 days after the last ticket refresh. With this update players will be able to get new refund tickets each year!

Outside of this update additional tickets can not be granted.

How long do I have to return an eligible purchase?

You have 30 days from the purchase to return an eligible purchase.

Why can’t I return the Battle Pass?

Battle Passes are consumable account upgrades that grant you access to an experience as well as bonus content.

Why can’t I return a Starter Pack?

Starter packs are purchased with real money so it is not eligible for a return.

Why can’t I return Loot Llamas?

Loot Llamas are consumable items that contain randomized rewards and cannot be returned.
