It was launched by the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute of Tamil Nadu (EDII-TN) in collaboration with the Department of School Education and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
SIDP empowers students to think creatively, develop innovative solutions, and nurture entrepreneurial skills. Through workshops, hands-on learning experiences, and mentorship, the project encourages students to explore the realms of design thinking, idea generation, and prototype development, thus preparing them to become future leaders and innovators.
The Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu launched the School Innovation Development Project in 2022 in Madurai.
