How To Activate Wildcard in FPL
To activate your Wildcard in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), follow these steps:
Go to the Transfers page. You can find this tab in the main menu of the FPL website or app.
Make more than two transfers. The Wildcard option will only become available once you’ve selected more than two players to transfer out of your team.
Click the ‘Play Wildcard’ button. This button will appear next to the ‘Auto Pick’ and ‘Reset’ buttons above your team screen.
Confirm your transfers. A pop-up window will appear reminding you that the Wildcard won’t be activated until you’ve confirmed your transfers. Click ‘Confirm Transfers (and Play Wildcard)’ to activate your Wildcard and make your transfers.
You can only use your Wildcard chip twice a season – once in the first half of the season and once in the second half. Once you’ve activated your Wildcard, it cannot be cancelled.
You have until the next Gameweek deadline to make any further changes to your team using your Wildcard.
Tips:
Plan your Wildcard carefully. Consider upcoming fixtures, player form, and potential price changes before making your transfers.
Don’t be afraid to use your Wildcard early if you need to make significant changes to your team.
Use the Wildcard to take advantage of price rises. If a player is about to increase in price, transfer them in before the deadline to maximize your team value.
Remember, the Wildcard is a powerful tool that can help you turn your FPL season around. Use it wisely!
How To Activate Free Hit FPL
If you activate your Free Hit FPL for GW7, you will get back your ORIGINAL team for GW8. So had you regretted your transfers as fixtures have been changed, FH can reverse those transfers made.
FH also cancels any hits you took for GW7. Based on the official announcement, you will get back your FH chip for GW8.
When to play the Free Hit?
The Free Hit offers an alternative to the Wildcard as a way of temporarily fixing a squad.
FPL managers can turn to the Free Hit when injuries and suspensions hit, or when postponed fixtures cause issues.
The Free Hit chip lets managers pick players who are not only in action but also have good fixtures.
