Add online banking access to your account
If you click the link below, a new window will open with the target page displayed. Please enter your Scotiabank debit card number and click Continue if prompted to do so.
If you don’t have a Scotiabank debit card, press the link I don’t have a ScotiaCard, select the product type and product/account number from your card, line of credit, loan, investment, or mortgage. Then click Continue. For Small Business customers, a Scotiabank debit card number is required.

Enter your details
If you have a Scotiabank debit card number, you can skip to Step 4.
Select the account type you have, followed by the account or card number. Once completed, fill in your first name, last name, date of birth, and then click Continue.
Note: You may be asked for additional information to verify your identity on the following screens. Please enter the information, and click Continue, when prompted.

Step 4
Create a username and password
Create a username that’s easy to remember. For credit card customers, once this username is created you will no longer be able to sign in using your card number. Click Continue.
Your password should be a combination of numbers and both uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as symbols – like an exclamation point or a question mark
The more complex your password is – the stronger it will be
Important note: For your privacy, don’t write down your password or share it with anyone.

How can I add a credit card to my profile?
To add a credit card to your profile:
- From your Accounts page, select Manage My Accounts
- Select Manage ScotiaCard & Account Access
- Go to ScotiaCard access settings and select the Online/Mobile Banking checkbox for your credit card
- Enter your Access Code and select Continue
How do I activate a supplementary credit card?
The primary cardholder or co-borrower will need to activate the new supplementary card by following the instructions listed on the card. If the primary cardholder is requesting a new credit card and supplementary card at the same time, both cards will be activated once the primary cardholder activates their account.
What is a ScotiaCard Security Code?
The ScotiaCard security code is a unique 3-digit number printed on the back of your ScotiaCard. It is used as an additional piece of information to confirm your identity.
The location of the code depends on which ScotiaCard you have:
On ScotiaCard debit cards with Visa Debit, the 3-digit code is next to the signature panel
On ScotiaCard debit cards without Visa Debit, the code is the last 3 digits following your ScotiaCard number on the back of your card
