How To Activate DU SIM Card

To activate your DU SIM card, you have a few options:

  1. USSD Code Activation:

    • Insert your DU SIM card into your mobile phone.
    • Dial the USSD code *122#.
    • Provide details such as your name, ID number, and other required information. Tourists will also need to provide their Passport number.
    • Wait for the activation process to complete.
    • You’ll receive a confirmation message.
    • Restart your phone to ensure the changes take effect.

  2. Online Activation (For Residents):

    • Visit DU’s Account Renewal page and sign in.
    • Enter your phone number and click on “Renew.”
    • Receive a 4-digit PIN via SMS and enter it.
    • Upload the front and back sides of your Emirates ID.
    • Enter your Emirates ID number and expiration date.
    • Agree to the terms of service and confirm.
    • Track the progress using the reference number provided.

  3. Customer Service Activation (For Existing DU Account Holders):

    • Dial 800155.
    • Provide your Full Name, DU Account Number, SIM card number, Passport Number, and Nationality.
    • DU will handle the activation process.

How can I activate New Prepaid Plan bundle?

You can activate New Prepaid Plan bundle through:

1. du App

– Login to du app (available in iOS, Android or Huawei store).

– Tap on ‘Buy Bundle’

– Select your bundle from the list. You can also find other type bundles by tapping the ‘Most popular’ button.

– If you have enough credit balance you will be taken to the summary screen.

– If you’re low on credit balance, you can recharge your balance in the same journey and continue to the  summary sreen.

– Tap on ‘Buy bundle’ to complete the purchase, the amount will be deducted from your credit balance.

2. Using your phone

– If you are a Pay As You Go or Alo line customer, you need to dial USSD code *135*3# and follow the instructions to select the bundle.

– You can also activate by dialling *135# and following the instructions.
