With the release of Nose BETA on April Fool’s Day, Google has pulled yet another April Fool’s Day prank.
According to the search giant, the feature, which is currently visible on its home page, is the new’scentation’ in search, which will bring smells to those searching for them via their electronic devices.
Google Nose includes three features: Street Sense, which provides smells indexed by the company’s vehicles, Android Ambient Odor Detection, which provides the smells through its mobile operating system, and SMELL CD, which allows users to control the odours.
This is Google’s third April Fool’s joke of the day, following pranks for Gmail and YouTube earlier in the day.
