Cricket Bridge Pay | How It Works and Cost Breakdown

Bridge Pay is a payment extension offered by Cricket Wireless that allows you to split your monthly bill into two payments, giving you 7 extra days to pay the rest and keep your service active.

Here’s what you need to know:

What is Bridge Pay?

  • Cricket BridgePay is a program offered by Cricket Wireless that allows customers to split their monthly bill into two separate payments. This is designed to provide flexibility for customers who may need a little extra time to pay their full amount due.

How It Works & Cost Breakdown

  1. Deactivate AutoPay

    • Bridge Pay requires AutoPay to be turned off. You can re-enable it after you complete your second payment.

  2. Fees

    • Single-line accounts: $5 fee

    • Multi-line accounts: $15 fee
These are added to your initial partial payment and your second payment includes any remaining balance plus any monthly features.

  3. Billing Example (Single-Line):

Plan 7-Day Charge Fee 1st Payment 2nd Payment
    $30 plan $10 $5 $15 $20
  4. Reactivation if Suspended

    • If your service is suspended after missing the due date, you can still use Bridge Pay within 7 days after suspending. Once the first payment is made, your service is reactivated and your billing cycle resets.

  5. Extension Option

    • You can extend Bridge Pay by another 7 days (within the initial Bridge Pay period) by paying the applicable fee again ($5 single-line, $15 multi-line).

  6. One-Time Use Per Billing Cycle

    • You can only set up Bridge Pay once per billing cycle.

Common Issues & Community Feedback

Troubles During Activation

Some users report that in automated phone systems, you need to wait without pressing any buttonsโ€”especially not “#”, to see the Bridge Pay option appear:

โ€œDonโ€™t hit pound. Wait a couple of seconds and then itโ€™ll give you the Bridge Pay option.

Skipping or Forgetting the Second Payment

If the second payment is missed, your service can be suspendedโ€”sometimes even sooner than the expected 7-day window:

โ€œI made the initial paymentโ€ฆ next day, got notice to complete payment or service suspended.โ€

Extensions & Payment Confusion

Extensions have associated costs and can sometimes be confusing:

โ€œBridge Pay is broken into two paymentsโ€ฆ you pay $75, then $75 remainderโ€ฆ $15 is the Bridge Pay fee.โ€

And importantly:

โ€œOnly one BridgePay is available per billing cycleโ€ฆ if you miss it, you must pay full bill; the Bridge Pay amount is lost.โ€
