COVID patients end up with an overdose of unproven Ivermectin in Westmead Hospital

The latest round of the battle against Australians with self-medication is a Sydney COVID-19 patient recovering from a self-inflicted disease and vomitation caused by unproven medications, according to the health officials.
The patient has recently arrived in the emergency department with overdoses of Ivermectin and other supposed “COVID cures,” said Professor Naren Gunjas Associate, Professor at the Westmead hospital toxicologist.

The latest experiment in a range of home-doctors – including hydroxychloroquine, desinfectants, bleach and alcohol – required treatment in western Sydney.

The patient recovered at home without serious complications after leaving the hospital, but it sparked another warning for COVID-19 patients from Australia that they could not self-heal, especially with Ivermectin.

“They have not developed toxicity, thankfully, but they did not help their COVID either,” said The Pulse Website of Western Sydney Local Health District.

“The use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19 is not supported. Don’t look for online magic cures and don’t depend on what’s on the internet, because they don’t work.”

A spokesman told The Guardian of an increase of more than ten by Australian border officers who were seeking potentially unlawful imports.

The organisation said in a release issued on August 23, “TGA strongly discourages self-medication and self-dose of COVID-19 to Ivermectin as it could be dangerous to your health.”

“The use of Ivermectin in COVID-19 patients is insufficient evidence.”

Even Merck does not recommend COVID-19, even Ivermectin producer, warning earlier this year that “the potential therapeutic effect was not based on a scientific basis” and that there was “in most studies, the absence of security details”
