Chelsea face Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.

Due to Thomas Tuchel contracting Covid, the Blues are searching for form after a 2-1 FA Cup fourth-round victory over Plymouth. After winning the Champions League for the second time last season, the Londoners are aiming to become the first team to win the World Cup.

Having won their first Champions League title by defeating Bayern Munich ten years prior, some Chelsea fans believe this is their final opportunity to win a major club honour after the Blues’ defeat to Corinthians.

Former Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim is targeting an upset against Palmeiras in the final after the Brazilians defeated Al Ahly 2-0 on Tuesday to get Al Hilal to this point.

“After 10 years, you realise how difficult it is to be in this tournament,” Cesar Azpilicueta said. “At the time, we lost the championship game. This was my first season, so it may have appeared easier than it actually is, but with experience comes the realisation of just how difficult it is to make it all the way. Our time is limited, so we must seize it. Hopefully, our previous tournament experience will aid us in this one. “I’m pumped up.”
