Boost Mobile eSIM Activation

To activate your Boost Mobile eSIM, Download the My Boost Mobile app, select an eSIM plan, and follow the on-screen instructions. Boost Mobile may provide a QR code to scan during the activation process. 

Follow these steps:

1. Ensure Compatibility:

  • Make sure your device supports eSIM functionality. You can usually find this information in your device’s settings or by checking the manufacturer’s specifications.

2. Obtain an eSIM Profile:

  • Through the Boost Mobile App: This is often the easiest method. Download the My Boost Mobile app, select an eSIM plan, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • QR Code: Boost Mobile may provide a QR code to scan during the activation process. This code contains the necessary information to configure your eSIM.

3. Install the eSIM Profile:

  • QR Code Method:
    • Open your device’s camera and scan the QR code.
    • Follow the prompts to install the eSIM profile and label it (e.g., “Boost Mobile”).
    • Select your eSIM for cellular data if prompted.
    • You might need to enter the Access Point Name (APN) settings. These details are usually provided with your eSIM activation information.
  • App-Based Installation:
    • The Boost Mobile app will guide you through the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Activate Your eSIM:

  • iPhone: You might receive a notification titled “Boost Cellular Plan Ready.” Tap it and follow the prompts to activate. If you don’t see the notification, check your iCloud profile settings.
  • Android: Go to your device’s network settings. You should see “Boost Mobile” listed as an active SIM. Make sure mobile data and data roaming are enabled if needed.

Important Notes:

Primary Line: If you have an existing physical SIM card, you might need to turn it off temporarily to avoid potential roaming charges from your carrier, especially when traveling internationally.

Troubleshooting: If you encounter any issues during activation, contact Boost Mobile customer support for assistance.

Finish Setting Up Cellular:

If you have an eSIM compatible iPhone, you’ll receive a notification on your home screen titled Boost Cellular Plan Ready once your line is activated. Open this notification and tap Continue. When your eSIM is installed you’ll receive a confirmation message that your activation is complete.

If you can’t find, or accidentally remove the notification from your Home Screen, you can recover your eSIM profile by going to your Settings. Under your iCloud Profile, there is a notification titled “Boost Cellular Plan Ready to be installed.” Tap this notification and continue to finish setting up your cellular.
