To activate your new Belong SIM card, login into www.belong.com.au/go/activate-sim and find the ‘Add a mobile or data plan’ box and hit Activate a new SIM. Follow the prompts to choose a plan and get your mobile service all set up.

To activate your new Belong SIM card, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to the Belong website: Visit the Belong website on your computer or mobile device.

2. Navigate to the activation page: Look for a link or button that says “Activate SIM” or something similar. This should be prominently displayed on their website. You can also use this direct link: https://www.belong.com.au/go/activate-sim

3. Choose your SIM type: Select whether you have a mobile SIM (for calls, texts, and data) or a data-only SIM (for mobile internet only).

4. Log in or create an account: If you already have a Belong account, log in. Otherwise, create a new account.

5. Enter your SIM card number: Type in the 13-digit SIM number found on your SIM card or its packaging.

6. Choose a plan: Select the Belong mobile plan that best suits your needs.

7. Provide payment details: Enter your payment information to set up your account.

8. Transfer your number (optional): If you want to keep your existing phone number, you can transfer it to your new Belong SIM.

9. Confirm and activate: Review your details and confirm your activation.

Buying your Belong SIM in person means you’ll pay some money up front for your plan, with the credit from your purchase going towards paying the cost of your first monthly payment. If there’s any credit left over, it’ll stick around and help cover your next month’s payment.

How do I set up a mobile or data plan service set up?

Seen a Belong mobile or data plan you’re keen on? Here’s how to make the dream a reality.

Step 1 – Set up a Belong account

If you’ve already got a Belong account, you can skip this step. Otherwise head to our account registration page and share a few details with us:

  • name

  • date of birth (you need to be 18 or over to set up an account)

  • email address

Enter an account password, hit the ‘Create account’ button and voila – you’ve got yourself an account.

Step 2 – Order a free mobile SIM

Assuming you don’t already have one, you’ll need to get your hands on a Belong SIM. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your Belong account using the website or app.

  2. Find the ‘Add a mobile or data plan’ box and hit Order a SIM.

  3. Put in your address.

  4. Find something to do for 2–4 days while your free SIM gets delivered.

Step 3 – Activate your SIM

Now we’re getting to the good stuff. You’ll need some payment details handy – you can use Mastercard, Visa or PayPal to get things rolling. (Note that you can’t use a prepaid card to set up your service.)

  1. Log in to your Belong account using the website or app.

  2. Find the ‘Add a mobile or data plan’ box and hit Activate a new SIM.

  3. Follow the prompts to choose a plan and get your mobile service all set up.

Getting your number transferred

When you activate your Belong SIM, we’ll ask if you want a new number or if you want to keep your old one.

If you want to keep your number, just fill in the details and hit Send verification code – we’ll send you a verification code by text to make sure that it’s really you asking to transfer your number. Enter the code we sent you and we’ll get the transfer done.

How long does it take?

Transferring a number usually takes less than four hours, but it can take up to 36 hours if you’re transferring your number on a Sunday or a public holiday.

We can only transfer numbers while our offices are open. So you can plan your move with military precision, here’s the rundown on our operating hours:

Monday to Friday: 8am–8pm (AEDT)
Saturday: 10am–6pm (AEDT)
Sunday: closed
Easter Monday and the Queen’s Birthday: 10am–6pm (AEDT)
All other public holidays: closed
