How do I Activate my New BECU Debit Card?

Activate, pause, change your pin and set travel notifications directly in Online Banking

Follow these steps to activate your card and change your PIN:

  1. Log into Online Banking.
  2. Select the Account Services tab.
  3. Select Manage Your Debit Card.
  4. Select the card you want to activate. Enter your account number and expiration date.
  5. Select Activate My Card.
  6. Select Change My PIN on the card you just activated.
  7. Enter your new PIN. Confirm your new PIN.
  8. Click Confirm PIN Change.

For businesses that operate as a partnership, corporation or LLC using an EIN for tax reporting you cannot activate or change your PIN in Business Online Banking. You can activate your debit card at any ATM or POS terminal and you can change your PIN at any BECU ATM or by visiting any BECU location.

You can make a transaction using your PIN at any ATM or point-of-sale terminal. Or, you can activate your new debit card in Online Banking.

For businesses that operate as a partnership, corporation or LLC using an EIN for tax reporting, you can activate your debit card at any ATM or POS terminal.

You can use your debit card for signature-based transactions that are run as credit. You’ll need your PIN before your card can be used for debit/PIN-based transactions.

How do I change my PIN in Online Banking?

Follow these steps to change your PIN:

  1. Log into Online Banking.
  2. Select the Account Services tab.
  3. Select Manage Your Debit Card.
  4. Select Change My PIN on the card you want to change the PIN.
  5. Enter your new PIN. Confirm your new PIN.
  6. Click Confirm PIN Change.
