To submit an AT&T unlock request, follow these steps:
1. Go to the AT&T Device Unlock website: Visit https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/
2. Start an unlock request: Click on “Start an unlock request” and follow the prompts.

Specific Requirements (Based on Device Payment):
- Installment Plan (Paid through monthly bill):
- You can request an unlock at the start of your next billing period after the installment plan is paid off.
- Installment Plan (Paid off early):
- The wireless number assigned to the device must have been active for at least 60 days.
- You must wait 48 hours after making the final payment before submitting the unlock request.
- Device Paid in Full at Purchase:
- You must wait 60 days from the purchase date before submitting the unlock request.
- AT&T Prepaid Phone:
- The Prepaid SIM card must have had paid service for at least six months.
- Unlock requests must be submitted through the AT&T Device Unlock app.
Additional Notes:
- Military personnel may be eligible for expedited unlocking.
- If a device doesn’t meet the unlock requirements, and the user is traveling abroad, they can consider an AT&T International Plan instead.
