Activate Your New Capital One Debit Card
To activate your new Capital One debit card, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your account online or with the Capital One Mobile app. You can visit the Capital One website or text “GET” to 80101 to download the app.
- Choose the account linked to your debit card.
- Look for a button to activate your card. On the website, it’s next to the debit card tracker. In the mobile app, you’ll find it below your balance.
- Select “Activate Your Card” and follow the steps shown. You may be asked to set a PIN during the activation process.
HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY DEBIT CARD?

Choose the 360 Checking account linked to your debit card.
Step 3
Look for a button to activate your card. It’s next to the debit card tracker on the website, or below your balance on the mobile app.
Step 4
Select Activate Your Card and follow the steps shown. You may be asked to set a PIN to complete the activation process.

How do I set or change my PIN?
When you activate your first 360 Checking debit card, you’ll be automatically prompted to set a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). This will allow you to access your 360 Checking account when using an ATM.
To change your PIN, sign in to your account and choose the checking account whose PIN you wish to change. The steps will vary based on where you sign in.
- If you sign in on a desktop web browser, select Account Services and Settings, and then select Change PIN and follow the steps
- If you sign in on a mobile web browser, click More and then select Change PIN and follow the steps
- If you sign in on the Capital One Mobile app, click View All under “I want to…,” and then select Change PIN and follow the steps
What if my debit card is lost or stolen?
To replace your lost or stolen debit card, you’ll need to sign in to your account and choose the checking account connected to the lost or stolen card. The steps will vary based on where you sign in.
- If you sign in on a desktop web browser, select View Account, then select Account Services and Settings, and then select Replace Lost Card and follow the steps
- If you sign in on a mobile web browser, select View Account, then select More, and then select Replace Lost Card and follow the steps
- If you sign in on the Capital One Mobile app, select View All under “I want to…,” and then select Replace Lost Card and follow the steps
A new contactless debit card will be sent to the address on your account via USPS in 7–10 business days.
Please note: If you choose to replace a lost card, your existing debit card will be deactivated immediately. If you choose to replace a damaged card, your existing debit card number can continue to be used until you receive and activate your new debit card.
Keep in mind, if your 360 Checking debit card is ever misplaced, lost or stolen, you can lock and unlock it using the Capital One Mobile app.
