Activate Polaris | Activating RIDE COMMAND+ Polaris

To activate RIDE COMMAND+ on your Polaris off-road vehicle, Download the Polaris App in the App Store® or Google Play®. Create an account. Log in to the App and add your vehicle to your Garage.

Here’s a breakdown of how to do that:

Before You Start

  • Make sure your vehicle is compatible: RIDE COMMAND+ is available on select 2023 or newer Polaris off-road vehicles. If your vehicle didn’t come with it pre-installed, you may need to purchase the RIDE COMMAND+ Plug-In and Installation Kit.
  • Download the Polaris app: Get the Polaris app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  • Create a Polaris account: If you don’t already have one, you’ll need to create an account within the app.

Activation Steps

  1. Good Location: Move your vehicle to an open area with a clear view of the sky and good cellular coverage. Avoid being near buildings or structures, especially metal ones.

  2. Vehicle Power:

    • If your vehicle is electric, make sure it’s unplugged from the charger.
    • Turn your vehicle on.
  3. Add Your Vehicle:

    • Open the Polaris app and log in.
    • Add your vehicle to your Garage in the app. You’ll usually do this by entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
  4. Start Activation:

    • On the app’s home screen, you might see an “Activate” tile. Tap it.
    • If you don’t see the tile, go to your Garage in the app and tap “RIDE COMMAND+ Activate”.
  5. Stay Close: Keep your phone with the Polaris app open and stay within 10 feet of the vehicle during the activation process.

  6. Follow the Prompts: The app will guide you through the remaining steps, which may include:

    • Confirming your contact information
    • Agreeing to the license agreement
    • Waiting for the app to communicate with your vehicle
  7. Confirmation: Once the activation is successful, you’ll see a message in the app.

Now you can activate the RIDE COMMAND+ Plug-In. Be sure that there is good cellular signal and that the vehicle is in an open area with limited tree coverage, away from structures (especially metal structures). Your mobile device must have the Polaris App installed and be within 10 feet of the vehicle.

Troubleshooting

• If the Polaris App displays the message “Activation error. Please try again” or “No GPS location from vehicle,” retry activation. Move the vehicle and mobile device to an open area with good cellular service and limited tree coverage.

• If you receive a pop-up that says “Confirming Vehicle Location,” first turn the vehicle off and on again. If that doesn’t work, turn the vehicle off, unplug the Plug-In for 30 minutes, plug it back in and restart the vehicle.

• The activation process needs to be completed within 10 minutes. If it is not completed in this time, the process will time-out and will need to be restarted.

• While you can begin the account registration process on the RIDE COMMAND website, the App makes it easier to add your vehicle to your Garage.
