It doesn’t take a lot to activate your card. Follow these steps:
Option 1: IDFC FIRST Bank App to generate PIN or Set transaction preferences
Everything you need, in one place!
Via the app, you can manage and view your transactions, rewards, transaction preferences, bill payments, account history, and much more for your Credit Card.
To use the app for the first time, you’ll need your customer ID to log in. You can find the details in the congratulatory SMS you would have received upon getting your credit card.
Step 1: Download the IDFC FIRST Bank App.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Manage Card’ option in the Credit Card section and enable your card for online, contactless and international transactions.
Step 3: Generate a PIN by clicking on ‘Set Pin’ in the Credit Card section.
Option 2: Call us on 1860 500 1111
Step 1: Generate your Credit Card PIN.
- Press 1 for ‘generate PIN’ option
- Enter last 4 digits of the credit card number
- Enter the 3 digit CVV number visible on backside of your card
- Enter 4 digit PIN of your choice
- Re-enter 4 digit PIN to confirm
- PIN generated successfully
Use this PIN for all your purchases at merchant outlets & ATM.
Step 2: Change transaction preferences.
- Press 3 to select ‘Transaction Preferences’ option
- Enter last 4 digits of the credit card number
- Press 1 to enable all transaction types
- Press 2 to enable International transaction types
- Press 3 to enable Contactless transaction types
- Press 4 to enable Online transaction types
- Press 1 to confirm your choice
- Your choice is recorded successfully
Your Credit Card is ready for use as per your preference recorded.
That’s it! You are done activating your new card and can now start using it immediately. After you apply for a credit card, activating your new credit card is the first thing you’ll want to do. But don’t stop there. You can go ahead and scan the QR code, placed behind your physical card to browse through exciting offers and the true power of the card you hold!
