nycc.io/activate | New York Comic Con Badges Activate

Once you have your New York Comic Con badge in hand, make sure you activate it prior to entering the event! Badge Activation is required for NYCC 2025.

By activating your badge and tapping it at NYCC, you’ll unlock special content to make your experience way cooler.

  • Connect your Reservation spot for panels, exhibitor exclusives, and private autographing sessions. Please note: to use your reservations, your badge must be activated prior to attending your reservation using the email address you used to make your reservations;
  • Stay connected with your favorite exhibitors and creators;
  • Be entered to win NYCC 2026 tickets for completing our Treasure Hunt;
  • Play games, win prizes, and compete against other fans in Play NYCC;
  • And more!

Once you receive your physical badge(s) in the mail or pick them up from Will Call, you’ll activate it in one of two ways.

How to Activate Badge

  1. Get your physical badge

    • You’ll need the badge (or wristband) that has an 8‑digit activation code printed on the back (usually in orange).

  2. Log into your NYCC / ShowClix account

    • Use the email under which the badge was purchased or transferred.

  3. Go to “Manage New York Comic Con Profile”

    • Once logged in, find this section. That’s where the “Activate Credential / Activate Badge” option should be.

  4. Enter the 8‑digit code

    • Input that code in the activation field and submit.

  5. Confirmation & use

    • After activation, you should see confirmation that the badge is active, and you can use it for access, scanning, reservations, etc.

⚠️ Common issues & fixes

  • The “Activate” button / option isn’t visible yet. Many people report the activation site isn’t always live immediately.

  • Badge isn’t transferred / accepted to your account. If someone else bought the badge and it wasn’t properly transferred, you won’t see it.

  • Try a different browser, clearing cache, or disabling browser extensions. Sometimes UI elements don’t load correctly.

  • Sometimes badges picked up at Will Call are already activated.

If you have a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 4-Day, VIP, Kids, Press, Content Creator, Pro Thursday or Pro 4-Day badge, log into My Tickets with the email address you either a) ordered your NYCC tickets with or b) that your badge is transferred/assigned to.

Important Note: if you had badges transferred and assigned to your email address, you must accept them in My Tickets BEFORE you can activate them.

Use the 8-digit code(s) on the back left of your badge to activate it. If you have multiple badges, you must to activate each one.
