The minimum wage in California in 2025 will vary depending on the size of the employer and the industry. $17.00 per hour for employers with 25 or fewer employees.
For most employers:

Exceptions:
- Fast Food Workers: $20 per hour (effective April 1, 2024)
- Healthcare Workers: A higher minimum wage is expected to be implemented soon.
