How do I activate my GA Kemp card?
To activate your GA Kemp card, login into cashassistance.gateway.ga.gov and enter the card details or you may visit the Cash Assistance Program website or call 1-833-907-0683 for Card Activation.
1. Retrieve Your Client ID:
- You’ll need your Client ID to activate the card.
2. Visit the Cash Assistance Portal:
- Go to the Cash Assistance Program portal to get started.
3. Log In:
- Use your Client ID and other personal information to log in.
4. Activate Your Card:
- Once logged in, follow the instructions to activate your card number.
5. Access Benefits:
- By activating your card, you’ll gain access to the financial support provided by the cash assistance program.
Governor Brian P. Kemp has announced that those enrolled in Medicaid, Peach Care for Kids®, SNAP, and/or TANF can now apply for cash assistance of up to $350 through cashassistance.gateway.ga.gov. Residents of Georgia who take part in multiple of these schemes will receive only one cash help payment.
Who is eligible to receive a Cash Assistance program prepaid card?
You must have been enrolled at cashassistance.gateway.ga.gov and actively receiving Medicaid, Peach Care for Kids®, SNAP, and/or TANF benefits on July 31, 2022, to be eligible.
Check your eligibility at gateway.ga.gov by visiting the “Check My Benefits – Case Selection” tab. Your eligibility, and that of anybody living in your household, will be clearly indicated.
When will I receive the prepaid card?
If you have opted to receive email only or email and U.S. mail communications in Gateway, you will receive your virtual prepaid card by email no later than October 11. The email will come from donotreply@gateway.ga.gov
If you have opted to receive U.S. mail only communications, you will receive a physical prepaid card in mid-October
How to Apply
You can apply for benefits and renew benefits by using COMPASS, the online resource for cash assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), child care, health care coverage, home heating assistance (LIHEAP), school meals, SelectPlan for Women and long-term living services. You can also:-
- File an application at your local County Assistance Office; or
- Download an application form from the Web (below) and return it to your local County Assistance Office:
- Application for cash assistance, SNAP and Medical Assistance Benefits (English version).
- Solicitud para recibir beneficios (Version Espanola).
