To view video or images from a red light camera in Nassau County, you can go to the county’s website at their violation information page. You can also reach this site via drivesafelyinnassau.com where you can also pay your fines.
You’ll need to follow the online prompts by entering the number on your ticket and the accompanying PIN that came with it.
Payment INSTRUCTIONS
ONLINE PAYMENT:
The fastest and easiest way to pay your fine is to pay online. Go to www.DriveSafelyInNassau.com and logon with your Notice# and Pin# shown in the red box on the front of this notice. Click the Pay button. A $4.00 per ticket transaction fee will be assessed by the bank for each online payment.
PAYMENT BY PHONE:
Call toll free 1-866-790-4111 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST. A $4.00 per ticket transaction fee will be assessed by the bank for each telephone payment.
PAYMENT BY MAIL:
Mail your check or money order (payable to Nassau County, NY) in the enclosed envelope with the remittance coupon printed at the bottom of the reverse side of this notice. DO NOT MAIL CASH. Be sure to print the Notice# (see reverse) on the face of your check or money order.
PAYMENT IN PERSON:
You may pay in person by check or money order at the Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency, 16 Cooper Street, Hempstead, NY 11550, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM EST. Visit www.nassaucountyny.gov/tpva for additional information and hours. A convenience fee will be assessed for each credit card payment.
VIEW YOUR IMAGES AND VIDEO:
The recorded images and video of your violation will be submitted as evidence in the Traffic and Parking Violations Agency proceeding for disposition of the violation. You may view your images and video online at www.DriveSafelyInNassau.com. You will need your Notice# and Pin# printed on the front of this notice inside the red box. If you do not have internet access, you may view your video and images at the Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency, 16 Cooper Street, Hempstead, NY 11550.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO CONTEST THIS VIOLATION:
This ticket is not subject to discretionary reduction. You cannot plead to a lesser offense, and the fine cannot be reduced.
(1) You may contest the imposition of this fine by signing and mailing the coupon below to request an appearance before the Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency. Your request must be received by the Due Date stated on the front of this Notice. Upon receipt, you will be notified of the date, time and location of your Hearing. OR
(2) If the basis of your claim is that your vehicle/plate was stolen or the driver received a ticket from a police officer, you may complete an Affidavit of Non-Responsibility and attach a certified copy of the police report or a copy of the ticket with the coupon below. Your affidavit and supporting documentation will be reviewed and will result in either dismissal of this violation or scheduling of an administrative hearing. You will be notified in writing of any action taken.
You may download an Affidavit of Non-Responsibility at www.DriveSafelyInNassau.com. You will need your Notice# and Pin# printed on the front of this notice to download the Affidavit.
The Affidavit must be completed, signed, notarized, and mailed, with all supporting documentation, to Nassau County, TPVA, Red Light Camera Division, P.O. Box 22091, Tempe, AZ 85285-2091, and it must be received by the due date stated on the front of this Notice.
