To activate your new Vodafone SIM Card, login into vodafone.com.au/activate. You’ll need either a credit or debit card on hand. If you’re activating your prepaid service online or over the phone, you’ll need Australian Driver Licence.

Here’s a step-by-step guide for both methods:

1. Online Activation:

  1. Insert your SIM card: Insert the new SIM card into your device and turn it on.
  2. Visit the activation website: Go to the Vodafone Australia activation website: https://activation.services.vodafone.com.au/
  3. Enter your details: You’ll need to provide your activation key (found on your SIM pack), your new mobile number, and a valid form of ID.
  4. Follow the prompts: Complete the on-screen instructions to activate your SIM.

2. My Vodafone App Activation:

  1. Download and install: Download the My Vodafone app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Log in or create an account: If you’re a new customer, create a My Vodafone account. If you’re an existing customer, log in to your account.
  3. Navigate to SIM activation: Go to the “Services” tab and select “Activate SIM.”
  4. Enter your details: Enter your activation key and follow the on-screen prompts.

New to Vodafone? To get started, you’ll need to grab your new SIM card and follow these simple steps.

  • Insert the SIM into your device and turn it on

  • Find the activation key on your SIM pack

  • Have a valid form of ID on hand

After you purchase a Starter Pack, you have 365 days to activate your SIM before it expires.

We don’t have any age restrictions on getting a Starter Pack. If you’re under 18 years or age, you must have the consent of your parent or a responsible adult. When you activate the SIM, you’ll need to provide us with your name, address, email address, card details and valid identification.

How to activate a prepaid SIM.

Insert the SIM into your device and turn it on.

Activation Key and valid ID

Have the activation key (located on the back of your Prepaid Starter Pack) and a valid form of ID on hand.

Activate online

Activate your new prepaid SIM through our online service. You’ll need either a credit or debit card on hand.

Activating online or over the phone.

If you’re activating your prepaid service online or over the phone, you’ll need one of the following:

  • Australian Driver Licence.
  • Australian Passport.
  • International Passport.

Activating in store.

If you’re activating your prepaid service at a Vodafone store, you’ll need one of the following:

  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Australian Passport
  • International Passport
  • Government Issued Proof of Age Card
  • Defence Force ID

If you don’t have any of the above types of ID, you can provide two of the following:

  • Credit/debit card
  • Medicare card
  • A phone bill/statement
  • Bank Passbook
  • Council Rates Statement
