If you’re not ready to book a trip, you can use Google Flights to track prices based on specific flights, routes, and dates. You also get a notification in Google Flights, an email, or a mobile notification.
Track prices for a route or flight
When the price for a flight or route you’re tracking changes significantly, you can get email updates.
- Go to Google Flights.
- At the top, choose the number of stops, cabin class, and how many tickets you need.
- Choose your departure airport and destination.
- To track prices for this route, turn on Track prices.
- You can track prices for your searched dates or, if your travel dates are flexible, “Any dates.”
- Optional: To track prices for a specific flight, choose your flights, then turn on Track prices.
Find tracked flights or turn emails off
- Go to Google Flights.
- In the top left, click Menu Tracked flight prices.
- To find flights you’re tracking, click a saved route
- To turn tracking emails on or off, click Add notification
- Optional: To stop tracking a route or flight, click Remove
Get insights about price changes
You also get a notification in Google Flights, an email, or a mobile notification when:
- Prices for a route you’re tracking are likely to go up.
- The current fare for a flight expires soon and the new fare is likely to cost more.
This includes an estimate of how much prices are likely to go up and our confidence in each estimate.
Find plane tickets on Google Flights
When you use Google Flights to find plane tickets, you can get the best fares for where and when you want to travel. Use Google flights to:
- Find and book round trip, one-way and multi-city tickets
- Use an interactive calendar and price graph to find the best fares
- Filter your flight search by cabin class, airlines, and number of stops
Google Flights allows you to book flights from more than 300 airline and online travel agency partners. These partnerships have no impact on the ranking of offers suggested to you.
Find your flights
- Go to Google Flights.
- Enter your departure city or airport and destination. Note: You can also find destinations by clicking on a popular destinations list or on a world map.
- At top, select your ticket type: one-way, roundtrip, or multi-city.
- At top, select the number of passengers and cabin class.
- Click the calendar to select your flight dates. You’ll see the lowest total price to fly for each day. Note: Flight prices are updated approximately once every 24 hours.
- Optional:
- To filter your results, click Stops, Airlines, Times, or More.
- To re-order flights, click Sort by . You can see results by Best Flights (a default order that gives you the best trade-off between price and convenience, based on factors such as duration, number of stops, and airport changes during layovers), Price, Duration, and Departure Time.
- Choose a flight for each part of your trip.
- Choose how you’ll book the flight:
- When you click Select for your ticket(s), you’ll usually be taken to the airline’s website or online travel agency to complete the transaction.
- If you have the option to choose “Book on Google,” you can complete the booking transaction with an airline or online travel agency without leaving Google. If you choose this option, Google acts only as an intermediary and securely passes your information to the airline or travel agency to process the booking.
- In some cases, you can book separate tickets for one trip.
- Once you’ve booked a flight, contact the airline or online travel agent to confirm your booking, change it, cancel it, or to resolve any issue that may arise.
