To activate your new GAP Credit Card, login onto www.gap.com/activate and enter the card details. The GAP credit card can also be activated by registering at the GAP Credit Center.
To activate your Gap credit card, follow these steps:
- Visit the Card Servicing page: Activate Your Card.
- Enter the primary cardmember’s details, including the card number, security code, and last 4 digits of the social security number.
- Confirm that the provided information belongs to the account’s primary cardmember.

You can activate your new card by registering it online. Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, and the branded outlet stores accept Gap credit cards. Any store that accepts Visa payments will take Gap Visa cards.
After making a purchase, your account will remain in good standing if you pay for it in whole and on time. Payments on a Gap credit card can be done electronically, via mail, or over the phone.

- Install and launch the Barclays Gap Credit Card app on your mobile device, or visit the activation page of our website
- If you already have an online account — Choose “Existing Cardmember” and log in using your username and password. Verify your identity by completing the required fields. Your card will be activated and ready for use
- If you’re a new Cardmember or don’t have online account access set up — Select “Activate my card now” and complete the required fields.
- Select “Continue” and your new card will immediately be activated and ready to use.
