Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Northeast Ohio counties
Weather Service (National Weather Service) A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued. For northeastern Ohio counties.
Carol, Coshocton, Holmes, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Tumble, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties are all under a tornado watch until 7 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm struck 7 miles northeast of Cambridge around 12:30 p.m., heading southeast at 25 mph.
Up to 60 mph winds are forecast, along with quarter-sized hail.
This storm is bringing heavy rainfall, which could result in flash floods.
Do not drive across flooded roads in your vehicle.

3:54 p.m.: The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Floyd and Polk counties has been lifted at 4:32 p.m. The storm that generated the warning has fallen below severe criteria, according to the National Weather Service, and “no longer represents an immediate hazard to life or property.” However, strong winds, lightning, and heavy rain are still probable.

3:40 p.m.: A Severe Thunderstorm has been spotted 9 miles southwest of Rome, heading south at 20 miles per hour. Wind gusts of up to 60 mph are predicted to cause damage to some roofs, siding, and trees in the area. Cedartown and Fish Creek may possibly be affected by the storm.
3:20 p.m.: Floyd and Polk counties have been issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 4 p.m. Winds up to 60 mph are expected, with hail up to three-quarters of an inch in size.
