How to Activate Apple Card : Steps to Activate your Apple Card

There are a couple of ways to activate your Apple Card depending on whether you have the original packaging or not. 

If you have the packaging:

  • For iPhone XS or newer:

    1. Open the packaging.
    2. Wake your iPhone and hold it near the phone icon on the packaging.
    3. A card will slide up on your screen.
    4. Tap “Activate.”

  • For iPhone X or older:

    1. Open the packaging.
    2. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
    3. Tap on your Apple Card.
    4. Tap on “Activate Your Card.”
    5. Hold your phone to the specified area on the packaging.
    6. Tap “Activate.”

If you don’t have the packaging:

    1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
    2. Tap on your Apple Card.
    3. Tap the “More” button.
    4. Tap “Card Details.”
    5. Under “Titanium Card,” tap “Activate Your Card.”
    6. Tap “Having trouble activating your card.”
    7. Tap “Do Not Have Card Packaging.”
    8. Follow the instructions on your screen.

To activate your Apple Card, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Apple Card.
  3. Tap Activate your card.
  4. Open the packaging of your Apple Card.
  5. Unlock your iPhone and bring it near to the Apple Card inside the package.
  6. Wait for the Apple Card pop-up to show on your iPhone.
  7. Tap Activate on the Apple Card pop-up.

If you don’t have the Apple Card packaging

If you don’t have the packaging that your titanium Apple Card arrived in, follow these steps to activate your card:

  1. Open Wallet on your iPhone and tap Apple Card.
  2. Tap the more button .
  3. Under Physical Card, tap Activate Your Card.
  4. Tap “Having trouble activating your card.”
  5. Tap Do Not Have Card Packaging, then follow the instructions on your screen.

Request a replacement card

If a card is lost, damaged, or stolen, you should lock the card, then request a replacement card. You can also chat with an Apple Card specialist. If you’re a participant under 18, ask the account owner or co-owner to request a replacement card for you.

To change the name on your titanium Apple Card, first chat with an Apple Card specialist, then request a new card.

On iPhone

  1. Open Wallet on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Apple Card.
  3. Tap the more button .
  4. Scroll down to Physical Card and tap Request Replacement Card, then follow the instructions on your screen.
