£140 Cold Weather Payment 2024 : Cold Weather Payment Checker UK

£140 Cold Weather Payment 2024 : Cold Weather Payment Checker UK

You can get a one-time £140 discount on your power bill through the Warm Home Discount Scheme, which reopened in November for the forthcoming winter season.

You’ll get a payment if the average temperature in your area is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees celsius or below over 7 consecutive days.

You’ll get £25 for each 7 day period of very cold weather between 1 November 2023 and 31 March 2024.

The money is deducted from your electricity bill from October 2022 to March 2023 if you are eligible. You will not receive the discount directly, and it will not affect your cold weather or winter fuel payments.

With a dual fuel tariff, in which your supplier offers both gas and electricity, you could be able to receive the discount on your gas payment instead.

Your application process will be different depending on which of the two approaches to qualify for the scheme you follow.

The information you require is contained here.
